“Chat” Orbs VFX & Lighting
In a touching moment during the song “Unstable,” show attendees send Justin glowing, magical orbs that transform into personal messages.
Attached to Justin is an emitter that sends the live messages, which swirl around him in a comforting vortex. Several carefully placed force modules keep the orbs with him as he walks. Some “fake orb” emitters are set up in the background crowd to tie it together.
“Light in the darkness” was an important theme of the show. In conjunction with the Chat Orbs, I built a character lighting rig that is animated to echo the growing hope in each chorus.
Audio Reactive Wildflower Field
For the song “Holy,” I set Justin up in a ring of flowers that dance and glow with the music. More attendee messages can be seen in the colorful plants growing around him. I created a shockwave effect that ripples outward from Justin through the field to punctuate key moments in the song.
